The famous wine town of Leutesdorf is situated in the northern part of the Middle Rhine. Vineyards such as Rosenberg, Gartenlay and Forstberg snuggle around the old wine town. The vines, originally belonging to the monastery, have been in the hands of family wine-growers for generations. Take a stroll through the narrow lanes or along the Rhine promenade and enjoy the many examples of typical Rhineland half-timbered houses. The main attraction is the “Zenthof” where a lot of festivals and exhibitions are held. The culinary highlight is held every year on Mother’s Day, when thousands of visitors come to the vineyards to taste some of the delicious wines and enjoy the hearty meals. And the view from here, looking over the Rhine valley, has to be the highlight of any walk. The wine trail and the trail through mixed orchards round off a beautiful day.
