Osterspai

A picturesque village with lots of well-maintained half-timbered buildings situated on the largest bend of the Rhine. Jacob’s Chapel with its frescoes and the moated castle with vineyard and rose garden are well worth a visit. Martin’s Church also invites visitors to enjoy a moment of quiet contemplation. Liebeneck Castle welcomes visitors. One of the best vintners in the Middle Rhine region has his wine-growing estate and tavern in Osterspai. In summer, a sandbank by the “Enges Thürchen” is a popular destination with many sun worshippers.
