This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States . Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above. Consent to future data collection and storage can be revoked at any time. In light of the debate on the use of analysis tools with complete IP addresses, it should be noted that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” and therefore processes only abridged IP addresses in order to prevent personal identification.

Our website also includes programmes (plugins) of the social network Facebook. These are exclusively operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (Facebook). These plugins are recognizable by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button. When you visit a page of our website that contains such a social plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook servers. Facebook directly transfers the plugin content to your browser which embeds the latter into the website, enabling Facebook to receive information about your having accessed the respective page of our website. If you are logged into Facebook whilst visiting our site, your visit can be assigned to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking “Like”, or entering a comment, this information is transmitted from your browser directly to Facebook and stored there. To prevent such a transfer of data from taking place, please log off from you Facebook account before entering our website. For information on the purpose and scope of data collection and use by Facebook, as well as your rights in this respect and settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s privacy policy (http://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.php).

Acceptance of encrypted electronic mail:

For technical and organizational reasons Tourismus GmbH is currently unable to decrypt encrypted emails. If you wish to send us confidential information, please use conventional letter mail.

Acceptance of electronically signed emails:

For technical and organizational reasons Tourismus GmbH is currently unable to verify the authenticity and validity of electronic signatures. This means that you cannot send us documents requiring the written form, i.e. those requiring a personal signature, in electronic form. In such cases we would ask you to use paper-based communication.

You will be informed by the recipient should we be unable to process an email. This may be due to computer viruses, general technical problems or deviations from the technical requirements mentioned above.

These guidelines apply only to communications with Tourismus GmbH. They do not apply to links to the services of third parties, e.g. other public authorities.

Disclaimer:

In its judgement of 12th May 1998 (case no. 312 O 85/98 - "Liability for linked pages"), the Hamburg District Court ruled that website operators who place links on their websites may, in certain circumstances, be held jointly responsible for the content of the linked sites. According to the ruling of the district court, this can only be avoided by expressly distancing oneself from such content. Therefore, we hereby expressly dissociate ourselves from the entire content of all sites accessed by links from our website. This declaration applies to all links displayed on our website.
