We have transformed the old Wisperschule into a modern 4-star hotel. Now our guests decide which grades are written here.
So far, there have only been good reports: e.g. for our hospitality, the top breakfast, the spacious rooms, and the quiet location by the Wisper, and much more!
The hiking and cycling paths start directly from the hotel. A blessing for Lorch and the Rheingau.... and for our guests.

This makes it a bit sustainable for us:

• Transforming old into new: The old primary school of Lorch, built in 1933, underwent extensive renovation and opened as a Hotel Garni in 2013 with great attention to detail. Even during the renovation of the building in Bauhaus style, the sustainable idea was always carried along and modern, resource-saving technology was implemented.
• Fresh breakfast treats: Love for the homeland - this is particularly noticeable at the breakfast buffet. 50% are regional products and 40% homemade delicacies. School bread, rolls, and baked goods come from the baker Laquai from the town, the eggs from the egg farm, the honey from the Wispertal, and the Wisper trout from the local fish farm, the herbs from our own school garden, .... Of course, no plastic packaging is used.
• Indulge and more: As a Garni hotel, the hotel in the schoolhouse spoils its guests with a sumptuous breakfast. Additionally, guests can help themselves at any time from the drink fridge in the winter garden. This fridge contains the hotel’s own Riesling, the "class best," exclusively Lorch wines. Homemade "Muffelsche" snacks are offered to accompany it.

Hiking & Wine in Rheingau

The hotel in the schoolhouse in Lorch on the Rhine is an ideal starting point for hikes and wine experiences in the Rheingau. Various packages combine year-round hiking in the region with regional wines, culinary delights, and special events.

In November, guided hikes with hotel director Susanne complement selected weekend offers.
These include the Martini weekend on the first weekend of November as well as the Ladies Night on the last weekend of November featuring hiking, wine, culinary delights, and a varied program.
