The Ilse-Bagel-Park was created on the site of the former vegetable garden of the founding family of the company Fritz Henkel. In 1975, Ilse Bagel, née Henkel, donated the land to the city of Unkel, and many citizens contributed trees. In 2020, the area was renamed Ilse-Bagel-Park. On the initiative of the namesake project group, a multi-generational park was created with seating areas, board game spaces, and six fitness devices. The playground features a climbing tower with a slide, a swing set, a slackline, a ground trampoline, and a skill carousel inviting playful fun and excitement.
