The Loreley Lounge is located in the spa town of Patersberg, situated on the Rheinsteig, from where you can undertake longer and shorter hikes and bike tours of varying levels of difficulty.

A visit to the legendary Loreley Rock, with its beautifully situated information center, is always worthwhile.

At the foot of the mountain lies the town of St. Goarshausen, where you can indulge yourself in one of the beautifully located restaurants after strolling through the picturesque wine alleys and wine taverns. From here, a short walk (parking available) will take you to a peninsula, at the tip of which you will find a remarkable statue of the Loreley. The car ferry regularly takes you to the larger sister town of St. Goar on the other side of the Rhine. Here you can find the famous ruins of Rheinfels Castle, and in the narrow streets, you will encounter several interesting museums and many shops offering all kinds of goods.

Situated in the UNESCO World Heritage area of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, St. Goarshausen is a docking place for various Rhine ships that will take you upstream past the Loreley Rock and downstream to world-famous sights and Rhine towns.

Thus, you can travel upstream past Oberwesel, Kaub with its famous castle, Bacharach, and Lorch to Assmannshausen: Here you can board the cable car which, after a short hike, will take you to the impressive Niederwalddenkmal. Once you have enjoyed the beautiful view of the Rhine Valley and the opposite town of Bingen with its famous Mouse Tower, another cable car will take you down to the well-known wine town of Rüdesheim with its historic wine taverns in narrow alleys (Drosselgasse, etc.), many shops offering charming souvenirs, as well as renowned types of wine, sparkling wine, and brandy.

The well-known historic spa town of Bad Ems, located about 30 km to the east, invites you to visit its extensive thermal baths (indoor and outdoor areas).
