Park in den Rheinanlagen Bacharach
Kranenstraße, 55422 Bacharach
The park, established in 1903, artistically follows the model of English landscape parks. Sculptures, a children's playground, and exercise equipment complement the expansive green space along the banks of the Rhine.
The park along the riverbank has existed since 1903. Its pathway system is reminiscent of the style of English landscape parks. The design was based on the "Geisenheimer Plan" from the Royal Prussian School of Gardening in Geisenheim. Initially, the park was somewhat smaller at 17,000 square meters than it is today. In the past decade, the river locations along the stream have been extended to the north and south and enhanced with sculptures. A children's playground and exercise equipment for adults increase the recreational value.
