The forest area has been managed in a near-natural way for many years and is protected from deforestation for another 100 years by the RuheForst concept. Burials take place in selected resting biotopes, the center of which are healthy trees, ecologically significant tree stumps or young future trees. The selection of the resting biotopes is usually made together with the forester. The resting biotopes form special mini-habitats in the forest ecosystem. They lead to a high diversity of species, which in turn leads to stable forest stands. The RuheForst is easily accessible in all parts and connected to public transportation. Places of worship have been set up for mourning ceremonies.
