The castle park at Martin's Castle connects the Rhine location, historic walls, and quiet walking paths. A location of the William Turner Route offers interactive insights into the Rhine landscape from the perspective of the famous painter.

Directly on the banks of the Rhine, the Castle Park at Martinsschloss Lahnstein invites visitors to linger. Surrounded by the historic walls of the medieval castle complex, visitors here enjoy a special combination of nature, culture, and landscape. The freely accessible area offers charming walking paths, shady seating areas, and impressive perspectives. A particular highlight is the location of the William Turner Route: from there, viewers can explore the Rhine landscape from the perspective of the famous painter – with interactive elements and exciting insights into his art.

Weitere Informationen

Until the BUGA 2029, the palace park will be carefully further developed – planned are, among other things, a Mediterranean garden and more barrier-free paths. Therefore, the park will be only partially accessible starting in autumn 2026.
