In the foreground of the stele, you can see the wooded Dornbach Valley. From the right, the Pfingstbach flows in to join the Dornbach at the former monastery of Gottesthal. The old Oestrich was built on a fan-shaped alluvial deposit. At the edge of the village, a steep slope leads to the middle terrace. Here, the vineyards begin. The development of Oestrich lies lower, on the lower terrace of the Rhine.
