The Sculpture Park Oberwesel, which was inaugurated on June 9, 1996, by the then Minister of Culture of Rhineland-Palatinate, Rose Götte, is not a closed unit. The artworks accompany the viewer from the Rhine facilities through the vineyards of Oelsberg to the edge of the slope near Urbar. Along the Troll Path near the Günderode House stand troll figures that artists have created from everyday materials. The original one-of-a-kind pieces are particularly popular with children. Rhine romantics love the art path in Oelsberg. The Rheingau painter Michael Apitz designed nine large-format glass pictures for this, which seem to blend seamlessly into the landscape, and District Administrator Volker Boch has written short, catchy texts for them. Particularly impressive are the viewpoints and photo motifs, such as the three-meter-high BUGA logo made of rusty corten steel.
