St. Hildegard Catholic parish church

On the foundations of the former monastery founded by Hildegard of Bingen in 1165, today stands the Catholic parish and pilgrimage church of St. Hildegard, rebuilt after a fire in 1932 until 1935 with consideration of earlier stylistic elements.
In the church, the Hildegard shrine with the remains of Saint Hildegard of Bingen is kept. Every year on September 17, the anniversary of Hildegard's death, many pilgrims flock to Eibingen to participate in the relic procession in honor of the saint.
