Celebrations in a historical setting
The former Capuchin church complex, with its historical atmosphere, located centrally in the old town of Linz, is now used as an event hall for a variety of cultural, social, and private events. Furthermore, it is made available to clubs, associations, political parties, voter groups, and religious and charitable organizations for the conduct of events and celebrations.
Built by the Capuchins between 1636 and 1645 as a baroque hall church, the Linz City Hall now features a compact stage and modern technology (lighting and sound system). The hall and/or foyer can be rented along with adjacent rooms (bar area, cloakroom, restrooms) including use of the kitchen.
The City Hall has the following capacities:
- Rowed seating: 248 seats in the hall/102 seats in the gallery
- Table and chair rows (32 tables for 6 people) 192 seats in the hall/102 seats in the gallery
- Without seating, 350 people are permitted in the hall and 40 people in the foyer.
The premises can be rented for one day for 24 hours. The rental period begins on the day of rental at 12:00 PM and ends the following day at 12:00 PM. The handover/taking over of the premises is done by individual agreement.
Standard rate (rental price/use per day):
- Entire City Hall 200.00 Euros/deposit 400.00 Euros
- Foyer 80.00 Euros/deposit 200.00 Euros
Reduced rental price for schools, kindergartens, and non-profit associations (rental price/use per day):
- Entire City Hall 100.00 Euros/deposit 400.00 Euros
- Foyer 40.00 Euros/deposit 200.00 Euros
Rental price for commercial events (rental price/use per day):
- Entire City Hall 400.00 Euros/deposit 1,000.00 Euros
- Foyer 200.00 Euros/deposit 1,000.00 Euros
Prices are exclusive of statutory VAT.
Cleaning costs are generally not included in the rental price and will be charged separately according to effort. The rented premises must be left broom-clean and trash disposed of.
