3. Orgelmatinee
Kirchstraße 1, 55430 Oberwesel
The organ of the Liebfrauenkirche was built in 1740 by the Silesian organ builder Franz Joseph Eberhardt with two manuals and a pedal. In 1936, Orgelbau Klaise added a third manual. During the last renovation in 1981, baroque pipe material was reinstalled, and an intonation was chosen that allows for the realization of all literature. Freshly renovated in 2017, the 30-minute organ matinées take place during the summer months after the Sunday high mass, featuring organists from near and far. All other organ and choral concerts, as well as liturgical music on holidays, encompass the full range of the four children's and adult choirs and can be found in the annual program of church music.
