Driving safety training with the E-Bike/Pedelec
The special driving safety trainings take place in small groups; depending on the group size, they are supervised by one to two trainers.
Content of our driving safety trainings:
- You will learn what to pay attention to when starting, riding, cornering, and braking.
- You will learn how to use gears and support correctly.
- You will understand the working principle of the support level in relation to the cadence.
- You will receive practical tips for training balance, strength, and endurance, as well as for everyday E-Bike use (bike tilting, pushing/lifting, transportation) including battery care.
- You will be aware of the importance of the operating manual. Because every E-Bike/Pedelec is different! Prerequisites for participation:
- You are at least 18 years old and physically capable of riding a bike.
- You bring an E-Bike/Pedelec with electric assistance (no E-Bikes that can be ridden without pedaling, no E-Bikes with number plates). The bike is adjusted to you, roadworthy, the tire pressure is checked, and the battery is charged.
- You bring a bicycle helmet. Wearing one is mandatory while riding.
The prerequisite is that enough participants register (max. 8 per date, at least 5).
Participation is free for all insured individuals of statutory health insurance, as well as for insured individuals of the accident insurance fund Rheinland-Pfalz who receive a participation code from there. Private insured individuals can participate in the trainings for a fee of €45 if there are still spots available.
