Guest performance Theater am Frankfurter Tor, Berlin

On the eighth day, God created the lawyer
Book: Werner Koczwara

with Johannes Hallervorden

No other nation in the world has produced such an abundance of laws and paragraphs as we Germans have. We regulate just about everything: marriage in cases of unconsciousness (§1314 BGB) and the proper placement of warning triangles during funeral processions (§27 StVO). And the legislator packages this in a language that even lawyers can barely understand. There is only one defense against this: laughter!
The program sets new standards in punch density, is grandiosely dark-humored, intelligent, and highly entertaining.
“On the eighth day, God created the lawyer” means: two hours of refreshing humor.

Johannes Hallervorden was born in 1998 in Lannion (France) and grew up there bilingual.
From an early age, he was drawn to theater, and from 2011 onward, he regularly performed at his father’s Schlosspark Theater. In 2016, he was engaged by the Schauspielbühnen Stuttgart as a guest actor for the production “Harold and Maude,” which was later also showcased in Berlin. He went on to have several leading roles at the Schlosspark Theater, including “The Last Smoker” directed by Irene Christ.
In 2022, he took over the “Theater am Frankfurter Tor” and offers the Berlin theater audience a diverse program featuring theater, cabaret, comedy, readings, and concerts.
At his own theater, he celebrated, among others, the premiere of his new cabaret solo program “On the eighth day, God created the lawyer” and in the comedies “Good Against North Wind” and “All Seven Waves.” In 2023, he surprised his audience with the premiere of “My Way,” a program about life featuring songs by Frank Sinatra.
In recent years, he has repeatedly performed at the Wustrau Sea Festival. Additionally, Hallervorden can be heard daily on the Berlin radio station BERLINER RUNDFUNK with his column "Hits & Hallervorden".
Besides his love for theater, Johannes Hallervorden occasionally works as a translator and has filmed for TV formats such as “In aller Freundschaft,” “Soko Wismar/Munich,” and “Notruf Hafenkante.” For his portrayal of the ghostly figure Melchior in the Disney series “Binny und der Geist,” he was awarded as the best up-and-coming actor at the Munich Film Festival.
