For many, camping is a great passion and no other type of vacation is an option. Every year, the same campsite by the Adriatic is visited. Of course, the site is firmly in German hands. The campsite is managed by Gianluca Spirelli, who once was the groundskeeper at the famous football stadium in Milan and somehow still thinks he works there. However, the vacationers, at least most of them, have become accustomed to his ways and come back to this site every year because of Gianluca. For instance, the nice couple Beutlin from Berlin has been coming back every summer for almost 15 years. Cindy from Bochum is here alone this year and hopes to finally have some peace from her family. But new guests also mix among the illustrious crowd of campers, like Bärbel, the hippie girl who hopes to find her inner peace and ultimate spiritual energy here.

Everything seems to be as usual, and all guests feel comfortable. However, Gianluca is troubled by worries, as the newly wealthy Bernd Baiser wants to buy the campsite to build a sardine factory there. Together, they search for a solution, as the guests and Gianluca are not easily giving up their beloved spot by the Adriatic.
