From 13.06.2026 until the 21.06.2026
Forestival - Art in Nature
Im Süßgrund 9a, 56112 Lahnstein
From June 13 to 21, 2026, the picturesque Süßgrund in Lahnstein will once again transform into an open art landscape. But 2026 is special: The festival is inspired by the Golden Twenties — that turbulent era of artists characterized by Dadaism, Surrealism, and New Objectivity.
Today, these artistic impulses meet 80 contemporary artists from around the world: from the region, across Germany, Europe (France, Rivoli59 Paris as a cooperation partner), as well as from Japan, Brazil, Argentina, and Madagascar.
Highlights 2026:
- Artists in dialogue: Artist Residency Camp in nature — artists live and work together
- Focus Süßgrund: Intensive art hike on two circular paths through forests, meadows, and valleys
- Program: Artist Talks, Workshops, Live Performances, Music in the evening
- Sustainability: Plastic-free, organic catering, earthworks and land art in focus
- Cooperation: Rivoli59 Paris (for the third consecutive time)
The Forestival 2026 is free of charge. It is funded by on-site donations and support from the City of Lahnstein and the Cultural Summer Rhineland-Palatinate.
