The four neighboring municipalities located on the Middle Rhine, Weißenthurm, Leutesdorf, Andernach, and Neuwied, invite you to a guided “WLAN” bike tour along the banks of the Rhine – a great opportunity to get to know the region around the Neuwieder Basin with its unique features. Starting from the meeting point at the Weißenthurm administrative office, the tour first goes to the city landmark, the White Tower, and the grave monument of French General Hoche. Afterwards, the tour leads to Neuwied Castle and the flood protection dike in Neuwied, before continuing to the romantic wine village of Leutesdorf with its historic Rhine front and the Marienburg. Using the Bad Hönnigen–Bad Breisig ferry, participants will return to the left bank of the Rhine. Passing by Namedy Castle, the Old Crane, and the Rhine Gate of the bakers' city Andernach, the route goes back to the starting point in Weißenthurm.Guide: Gerhard Petry Meeting point: Parking lot of the VG Weißenthurm, Kärlicher Str. 4, 56575 Weißenthurm Start: 11 a.m. approx.
