When the scent of cinnamon and cloves wafts through the streets, sparkling lights illuminate the historic old town, and cheerful Christmas music plays, it’s winter magic time again in Lahnstein!
As part of this atmospheric event weekend, the Lahnstein Tourist Information invites you on a special journey of discovery: the mulled wine hike through the festively decorated old town.

On Saturday, November 29, and Sunday, November 30, 2025, two guided tours will start at 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, which will warm not only your palate but also your heart and soul.

The tour begins at the Lahnstein Tourist Information and takes participants on a approximately two-hour stroll through the beautifully illuminated Hintermauergasse. There, they will learn interesting facts and amusing stories from Lahnstein’s city history – amidst a backdrop of sparkling lights, the scent of fir trees, and cheerful chatter.
Four different Christmas markets will be visited, each offering a special mulled wine for guests:
The Nikolausmarkt at Salhofplatz kicks off the tour with classic Advent atmosphere.
The next stop is the Advent festivities at the Bürgerturm, where regional specialties and exclusively handmade goods can be found.
At the Christmas market of the NTG, sociability is the focus – with savory treats and lovingly crafted handmade items and gift ideas.
The grand finale is the Altstadtzauber in Rödergasse, which, with its romantic ambiance and the last mulled wine, perfectly rounds off the evening.

The price of 29.50 euros per person includes the city tour, an exclusive Christmas market mug, and four mulled wines – one from each market. Thus, each stop becomes a delightful experience.
