On Saturday, 7 September, the tourist information office is offering a guided hike on the right bank of the Rhine to Hammerstein. Hikers have the opportunity to experience Bad Breisig from the "other bank". Similar to the RheinBurgenWeg, the Rheinsteig also runs over the peaks of the mountains to spoil hikers with breathtaking views. The first vineyards can already be seen during the hike. At the end of the hike, you can sample the fine wines at one of the winegrowers. The hike starts at 10 am at the car park of the Bad Breisig Rhine ferry. The route is approx. 10 kilometres long. The participation fee is €5, €3 with a guest card, children are free. There is also the cost of the ferry trip and the wine tasting (after consumption). The shortest way back to the ferry from Hammerstein is about 4 km. However, there is also a bus connection, or small groups could share a taxi.
