At the first Advent weekend, the historic Christmas market in Oberwesel once again invites visitors to browse and enjoy.

The Christmas market takes place every year on the 1st Advent weekend in the historic marketplace and in Rathausstraße. The city mayor is already looking forward to his appointment with the children from the Oberwesel kindergarten to decorate the Christmas tree. Christmas-wrapped "gifts" will find their place adorning the large Christmas tree in front of the town hall. The children will be rewarded for their packing efforts with sweets or chocolate from the city mayor himself.

Selected vendors will offer high-quality handicrafts, handcrafted items, homemade jewelry, and much more on both days. A children's carousel, horse-drawn carriage, and a children’s program are intended to delight the little visitors. Admission is free.
