Since 1965, the Hexenturm has housed the Lahnstein Local History Museum. Guided tower tours of approximately 50 minutes each will start at 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, covering all three floors including the observation deck. Here, visitors can enjoy a fantastic view with the Four Castles view at a height of 25 meters.
The city wall house at Hintermauergasse 19, a branch of the Lahnstein Local History Museum featuring early 20th century living culture, will be open from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM and takes visitors back 100 years in time! They can vividly experience how their ancestors lived and what cramped spaces some Lahnstein families had to make do with.
The Friedrichssegen Mining Museum, established in 2000 by the Working Group Friedrichssegen Mine, is located in the district of Friedrichssegen, Ahlerhof, near the Lahn power station. This gem fascinates with its exhibited artifacts, minerals, and photographs. Visitors can immerse themselves in the era when the whole valley was still dominated by mining, thanks to a model of the mining village around 1900. The museum is open from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
The Carnival Museum in Martin's Castle is a true treasure trove for fans of carnival traditions. It showcases everything related to the fifth season in Lahnstein and the region, including jester hats, costumes and uniforms, posters and program booklets, badges and pins, thousands of photos, and various curiosities. Open from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The entrance is located in the courtyard of Martin's Castle.
The former Jerusalem Pharmacy at Hochstrasse 17 operated as a pharmacy from 1869 to 2024. It houses historical pharmacy cabinets and equipment. Open from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
