The fire spectacle "Rhine in Flames" is the annual event highlight in the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. On the second Saturday in August several fireworks let the night sky between Spay and Koblenz shine in fantastic colours.

The Koblenz supporting programme becomes a 3-day Koblenz Summer Festival from Friday to Sunday: a diverse summer music festival is celebrated on the event mile on the banks of the Rhine and Moselle around the Deutsches Eck: On more than 8 stages more than 300 artists present themselves and invite the 150,000 visitors on three days to dance, but also to relax. Energetic world music concerts, a living room stage and the headphone (silent) disco in the cosy castle garden are no longer a secret tip. In "Augustas-Weingärtchen" there will be music with delicious wines and special culinary offerings. Supplemented by a water festival for families and an ecumenical church service, the Koblenz summer festival will be a celebration for all generations. The big fireworks of "Rhine in Flames" on Saturday evening is the highlight of the Koblenz Summer Festival.

The cable car shuttles between Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and the event area of the Coblence Summer Festival (extended travel times!). Free admission!
