The Italian guitarist Carlo Curatolo comes from Apulia and began his musical training with Pino Fortesu at the Taranto Conservatory. He studied guitar with renowned professors in Rome, Siena and Parma, among other places, and at the same time obtained a master's degree in physics. He has successfully participated in more than 30 international competitions and was awarded 1st prize in Mottola, Seville, Tokyo and at the Koblenz Guitar Competition Hubert Käppel 2021. His debut CD Eroica Italiana (Universal Music Spain) with music by Italian composers was released in October 2020 and received excellent reviews in specialist magazines such as Gendai Guitar (Japan) and Il Fronimo (Italy). Carlo Curatolo now performs worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician and teaches at the conservatory in Bari.
