In July, the Academy Summer gains momentum. For the second time, the new music academy rocks with its Bandcamp Engers. Intensive instrumental training, jam sessions, and vacation among like-minded people: The Bandcamp of the new music academy at the State Music Academy offers everything that the hearts of passionate band musicians desire. For four summer days, participants are among themselves, receiving optimal support from top-notch instructors at their individual skill levels. On two evenings, interested members of the public are invited to concerts as part of the course, free of charge, to experience the cult band Final Virus on July 2nd and then the course participants in various band formations live the following day.

Peter Sonntag, a trained double bassist and composer, and a highlight of the rock and jazz scene since the late 70s (“modern Leonardo da Vinci of the bass,” music magazine), founded in 1997, together with the “wonder guitarist” (Feedback music magazine) Reno Schnelle, one of the most innovative rock bands in Germany: Final Virus. The band - with Markus Plum as the first rhythm trombonist in rock history and drum artist Max Sonntag on drums - has been celebrating great international successes for over 20 years, including successful stadium concerts and tours through China and Europe as well as performances at the Woodstock Festival (500,000 visitors).
