Daily, young talents perform in the garden hall of Schloss Engers

a series of high-profile concerts at historically significant locations along the Rhine and more than just a music festival: The chamber music summer camp "Musiktage am Rhein" will once again bring together around 60 young exceptional talents from all over the world at the Landesmusikakademie in Engers starting Monday, July 21. Under the direction of Anne Shih, professor of violin at the University of Music in Mainz, an international team of instructors supports the young musicians. Daily individual lessons are offered to prepare them for ensemble playing. This is complemented by coaching sessions, joint rehearsals, and concerts at inspiring locations such as Schloss Engers, Burg Namedy, the pouring hall of the Sayner Hütte, Schloss Arenfels, and the Görreshaus in Koblenz, which are part of the festival concept as performance training. Instructors and course participants perform together with the ensemble "Mainzer Virtuosi" and international guests, such as pianist Giacomo Battarino and cellist Emil Rovner. After the opening concert on July 22 at the Sayner Hütte, including Saint-Saëns' 1st Cello Concerto, the program continues with daily evening concerts from July 24 to August 2. The program offers the audience a wide range of high-quality, exciting music, while participants can enjoy the opportunity to make music together with like-minded individuals in the land of many great composers and to gain concert experience.
