MinsKi: "The Square"
Heddesdorfer Str. 84, 56564 Neuwied
An extraordinary film in an extraordinary location: With THE SQUARE: NKVM Art Cinema, you can expect a special summer cinema experience at the former Rasselstein main storage in Neuwied. The event is a collaboration between the New Art Association Middle Rhine (NKVM) and the Minski team. The focus of the evening is the award-winning social satire THE SQUARE (2017). Director Ruben Östlund tells, with sharp humor and subtle irony, the story of a museum director whose orderly life increasingly unravels due to a series of unexpected events. With its intelligent perspective on the world of contemporary art, social morality, and human vanity, the film won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.
Starting from 7.00 p.m., the NKVM invites you to a special supporting program: Musicians Rosie Wang, Guo Xu, and Keyi Miao accompany visitors with a walking concert through the current exhibition in the impressive industrial hall. The film screening will commence around 9.00 p.m.
Tickets available only in advance (online (11 Eur) or at the cinema (10 Eur) during box office hours). Entry with art exhibition and musical supporting program from 7.00 p.m. Access and parking via Rasselsteiner Str. 107 (opposite the animal clinic).
Please note that access to the former Rasselstein area is via Rasselsteiner Straße 107 (opposite the animal clinic). As with all events on the premises, check-in and check-out with the gatekeeper is required.
