In everyday interactions, one sometimes gets the impression of being surrounded by unempathetic egoists. However, we humans are equipped with impressive skills to empathize with others (e.g., empathy), to think from different perspectives (perspective-taking), and to create together what no individual could achieve alone.
In her lecture, Prof. Dr. Anne Böckler-Raettig provides an overview of current research on the emotional, cognitive, and neural foundations of social understanding and action.
