Long Live the Smallest Work of Art Made of Iron! 
In the art casting gallery on the hut grounds, there is a forgotten superstar. A tiny fly that was cast from just one drop of iron – the "Sayner Mücke". This is no bigger than a housefly, but many times heavier and therefore unable to fly.

In honor of this smallest iron work of art, many years ago the Mosquito Festival was established in Sayn. We want to revive this tradition with a wink.
A festival that doesn't want to be new, but rather special: With genuine encounters, a diverse program, and a venue that tells history! Whether relaxed in conversation with friends or dancing under the illuminated night sky – the Mosquito Festival creates unforgettable moments in a unique setting.
