Her name first appears in 1677 in the documents of the Benedictine monastery San Martino del Leano in Pavia. She is 16 years old and a nun. The motets that are still published during her lifetime in 1691 are soon forgotten after her death. However, she is by no means the only composing nun whose treasures need to be rediscovered.
