New special exhibition "Uwe Langnickel: Beautiful – Bella Mediterrana" at the Roentgen Museum Neuwied
On Sunday, June 29, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., District Administrator Achim Hallerbach and Museum Director Jennifer Stein will open the new special exhibition "Uwe Langnickel: Beautiful – Bella Mediterrana" at the Roentgen Museum Neuwied. The musical accompaniment for the opening will be provided by Prof. Elena Camarena and Maleen Burgard (piano).
On the occasion of his 80th birthday, the painter Uwe Langnickel from Dierdorf-Elgert will showcase a large selection of new works inspired by his travels to the Mediterranean region. With numerous depictions from Venice, Florence, Tuscany, as well as Greece and Mallorca, the artist invites the viewer to indulge and dream. With his unmistakable, graphic line, the "drawing painter" addresses the beauties of the Mediterranean and the Mediterranean way of life, always in search of the harmonious and the light.
Venetian palaces, Greek coasts, and Tuscan landscapes are just a few of the motifs on display. The exhibition is curated by Museum Director Jennifer Stein.
