Roentgenmuseum: Klavierkonzert "Werke für die linke Hand"
Raiffeisenplatz 1 a, 56564 Neuwied
Virtuoso piano playing with the left hand at the Roentgen Museum
Solo concert by Elena Camarena on April 18, 2026
Neuwied – On Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 6:00 PM, the Roentgen Museum invites you to an extraordinary piano evening: Pianist Elena Camarena will dedicate herself to a fascinating and rarely heard repertoire in a solo concert – works by Johannes Brahms, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Josef G. Rheinberger, which were composed exclusively for the left hand.
The concert evening sheds light on a special chapter of piano literature. The pieces originated from very different motivations: from artistic curiosity, physiological necessity, or as a conscious aesthetic experiment. What they share is an extraordinary intensity of musical expression. The limitation to just one hand results in works of impressive intensity that demand the highest technical virtuosity as well as great interpretative sensitivity.
With this program, Elena Camarena offers the audience an intimate and highly virtuosic glimpse into the art of piano playing. The focus on the left hand creates sound spaces that surprise, touch, and make the possibilities of the instrument newly perceptible.
Entry €15 (reduced price with the presentation of a severe disability ID €13)
