Around the time of the turn of the eras, the Romans built a fort in Rigomagus, which was subsequently expanded into a fortified stronghold as the southernmost outpost of the Lower Germanic Limes. In July 2021, the Roman heritage of Remagen was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the tour, you will visit the remains of this military border installation as well as the Roman Museum.
