Description of the tour:

Our tour begins in front of the Fürstlich-Wiedische Schloss, the place where the town was founded and the privileges that were granted to the Jewish community. Our route then leads us to the memorial of the Jewish synagogue and to various stumbling blocks in Neuwied town centre, which commemorate people from this community and their fate. Past the Marktkirche church, where the German Christians had the upper hand, our route ends in the Herrnhut neighbourhood. Some Jewish citizens were hidden here and brought to safety.
