Founded in 2020, the Ludwig Brewery (Dattenberger Brauerei) is a microbrewery with an adjoining shop and bar with a mini beer garden, centrally located on the Dattenberger Burgberg, directly on several well-known hiking trails such as the Rheinsteig, the Rheinhöhenweg, the Linzer Basaltschleife and the LZ4.

In addition to the beers produced on site, which are available in 1-litre swing-top bottles as standard, the range also includes other cool drinks. The brewery shop is always open on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. There are also special opening times, particularly in the warmer months, which are publicised on notice boards and via the website/Facebook. The brewery also offers beer tastings with a master brewer and beer sommelier for small groups on request.
