Opened in 1783 as the first municipal, interdenominational cemetery, it has preserved numerous historically valuable monuments. Well-known families from Neuwied have found their final resting places here, such as Siegert, Remy, Gaddum, Reinhardt, Bianchi, Buchholtz, and Ingenohl. Among them are also many personalities who gained significance beyond the region.

During a guided tour lasting approximately 1.5 hours, the focus will be on these families, as well as the diverse symbolism of their tombstones.
