The kickoff is the new, cozy gourmet market below the Witch Tower. In a festive atmosphere, visitors can expect grill specialties, sweet and savory treats, aromatic winemaker mulled wine, and other winter delicacies during the first and second Advent weekends. A highlight is the mulled wine hike with the Lahnstein tour guides, who share local anecdotes while walking through the festively illuminated old town and serve mulled wine at several stations.
On the Nikolaus weekend, the traditional Nikolaus market at Salhofplatz opens its doors. Formally opened by Nikolaus and the Mayor, it invites visitors to stroll through lovingly decorated stalls.
Children can look forward to surprises, creative hands-on activities, and a visit from Nikolaus. The popular group singing also adds to the cheerful atmosphere. In addition to arts and crafts, the gourmet market is open until the evening hours.
