Vocal music of the English Renaissance at the RheinVokal Festival in Oberwesel

The Gesualdo Six – a group of six singers from London who passionately dedicate themselves to the music of the Renaissance. The newspaper The Guardian praised their precise singing as outstanding. In the Liebfrauenkirche Oberwesel, they already captivated the audience in 2022. Now, the award-winning A Cappella ensemble presents vocal music from England around 1600: John Dowland's "Songs of Darkness" meets madrigals by John Bennett and Thomas Weelkes. Additionally, works by the great William Byrd and his colleagues Orlando Gibbons and Thomas Morley. Music from the heyday of the English Renaissance.
