eGeLoSIa: Laden in der Braugasse
Braugasse 6, 56068 Koblenz
The eGeLoSIa in Koblenz is much more than "just" an ice cream parlor - it is a small ice cream manufactory that has become a sweet meeting point for locals and visitors in the midst of the old town.
Anyone strolling through the narrow Braugasse cannot help but stop in front of the yellow facade opposite the Church of Our Lady: Here, people line up patiently on warm days to assemble their personal "happiness in a cup." Instead of classic scoops, the flavors are spread into eco-friendly paper cups with a spatula - creating the typical image of eGeLoSIa creations. The base is produced right next door in the glass ice cream lab, where you can watch the pastry chefs during the artisanal production.
The concept focuses on quality and craftsmanship: All ice cream flavors, sauces, and even the chocolate chips are made in-house, with a conscious avoidance of ready-made pastes. In addition to popular classics like yogurt or pistachio, the airy "Gelato Caldo" - a "warm" ice cream made from whipped cream with a velvety consistency - provides special moments of enjoyment. With more than 30 milk and sorbet flavors in the main store, both traditionalists and adventurous eaters can find their favorite flavor.
