In her new series of works, Elisabeth Caspar dedicates herself to formative spaces of memory and life traces from Bendorf and Sayn. She approaches the place not documentarily, but as someone who grew up there, was shaped by it, and has moved on. Using rust pigments, ink, watercolor, and printing techniques, she makes traces, layers, and movements visible. Impressions, washouts, and overlays transform familiar places into inner landscapes between memory and the present. The works do not tell nostalgically, but rather with quiet clarity and open curiosity about growing up, existence, and moving on in a place that shapes – and lets go.
