With his documentary film, Wilfried Hauke offers a new perspective on Astrid Lindgren and sheds light on a lesser-known side of the world-renowned writer. The film delves into the world of the war diaries that Lindgren kept between 1939 and 1945, which remained undiscovered in her bedroom until 2015. These diaries provide a poignant insight into the horrors of World War II from the perspective of a mother and early feminist who advocated for peace, humanity, and equality.
