France in the 1950s: Michel, an average bank employee, and his wife Helene lead a seemingly perfect family life. But when their new washing machine shorts out, both are catapulted to the year 2025, and everything falls apart. Helene evolves into a career-oriented power woman, while Michel must assert himself as a househusband in the Smart Home. Instead of a patriarchal order, equality suddenly prevails, digital assistants get involved, and their daughter wants to marry her girlfriend.
