The young piano student Laura from Berlin gets into a car accident in which her boyfriend loses his life. Miraculously, Laura survives the accident unscathed and is taken in by Betty and her family. She spends some time with them and finds comfort and support to get her life back on track. However, over time she realizes that something is not right with the family. Laura begins to wonder who these people really are and what dark secrets they are hiding.
